Materials and corrosion expertise for industrial applications
We analyse, test and assess materials under real service conditions – in the laboratory, on site and across the entire lifecycle.
Our vision: We bring corrosion analysis from the laboratory directly into the industry – faster, smarter and more sustainable than ever before.
MPC² supports industrial partners in assessing corrosion resistance, failure mechanisms and condition-based monitoring of safety-critical components. Our work combines standardized testing with application-oriented materials expertise.
Our Services & Products
Our services cover laboratory testing, on-site measurements and technical consulting. Depending on the task, investigations are performed according to standards or tailored to the specific application.
Management
Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Manuel Prohaska
Managing Director
Manuel Prohaska is a materials scientist and corrosion expert.
He holds a Master’s degree in Materials Science and a PhD in Corrosion Science from the Montanuniversität Leoben (Austria).
He began his industrial career in 2011 in the urea and high-pressure industry, working for an Austrian manufacturer of high-pressure piping systems and valves for LDPE/EVA and urea plants. Over the following years, he held various positions in sales, product development and technical customer support, and was appointed Managing Director in 2018.
After a subsequent move to an Austrian manufacturer of high-pressure equipment, Manuel Prohaska served as Head of Sales and Commercial Managing Director, where he was responsible for international customer projects within the chemical process industry.
In June 2022, he founded MPC² GmbH with the objective of bringing corrosion testing, electrochemical measurement methods and materials assessment closer to real industrial process conditions.
The company’s technical focus lies on standardized and application-specific corrosion testing, predictive maintenance concepts, failure analysis, and the development of scalable testing and sensor systems, including the portable measurement system Corrosion Ray®.
Dipl.-Ing. Simone Prohaska
Head of Quality Management & Corrosion Laboratory
She holds a Master’s degree in Materials Science from the Montanuniversität Leoben (Austria).
After more than 13 years of professional experience in various roles within heat treatment, product management and sustainability management at a major Austrian rail manufacturer, she moved in 2021 to a medium-sized company producing high-quality plastic laminates, where she worked as an R&D project manager.
Since mid-2023, Simone Prohaska has been with MPC² GmbH as Head of Quality Management and the Corrosion Laboratory.
In this role, she is responsible for quality assurance, the planning and execution of corrosion testing, and the further development of laboratory and testing processes.
A key focus of her current work is the preparation and implementation of accreditation according to ISO/IEC 17025, which is of central importance for the future expansion of MPC²’s testing capabilities.
